C’est une journée ensoleillée et quand je me rends à Nougatine, je m’installe en terrasse. Un serveur vient vers moi et me demande avec le sourire ce que je désire. Je décide de tester pour commencer le cappuccino et les œufs Bénédicte. J’ajoute ensuite une limonade et un pain perdu.

Dès la première gorgée de café, je suis sous le charme. Je suis un peu énervée à cause de la quantité, mais je profite de chaque gorgée à fond.

Que dire des œufs Bénédictes si ce n’est qu’à la première bouchée on s’envole carrément. C’est tellement gourmand que c’est un crime. Chaque bouchée me donne un sourire béat.

Mon sentiment sur la limonade est mitigé. Le dosage en citron est pour moi légèrement en excès. Je n’accroche pas vraiment.

Enfin le clou de ce moment gourmand, c’est le pain perdu. Un délice qui touche le palais avec grâce soufflant le chaud et le froid. Entre le moelleux, la couche de sauce caramel et glace à la vanille fondante, de peu, on pleurait de joie. Un moment d’une intimité rare.

Le menu : Pour une première fois à Nougatine, je suis sous le charme à une exception près. Sous le charme du cappuccino, séduite par les œufs Bénédicte et achevées par le pain perdu je suis quand même déçu par la limonade.
