Hi guys, I hope you are okay? Today a few days if not hour of the end of the year, I propose to make a recapitulative of the bad experiences that I had while serialfoodie on Abidjan and more.
These experiences do not mean that these restaurants do not deserve to be visited, I want to emphasize. Each experience is unique and even if I recommend safe values, they surely (hopefully) evolve in the right direction over time.
1. Le Tuan
Located on the Plateau on the alignment of the Life Star, this select Asian restaurant was a disappointing experience for me and my sisters. We went there for a nice experience and received on our table Cantonese rice with a garbage smell accompanied by the snickers of the Asian waiter who thought that our heads were prone to mockery. An experience I did not repeat even though I think in 2017 to return to Tuan (at my own risk). Read the article about this experience here: Killed by the Tuan
2. Kool Zone
Kool Zone is located at Paul Langevin Street (Parker Place) in Zone 4, my sisters and I did not like frozen yoghurt or soy drinks, though partially seduced by the smoothies. The service however was nice and I like to think that we have no liking for what this place offers. Many people appreciate this place and I also plan to go back to discover other creations and who knows to fall in love. I’m talking about Kool Zone here: Kool Zone or Freeze Zone
3. Volup’thé
A restaurant enjoyed by many people. My sisters and I had a bad day when the manager was in discussion with the workers. As a result, from service to order everything was bad or almost bad. My sisters have suffered terribly. The article was not to the liking of all. I still remember having even received inbox warning me about following my little career as a foodie blogger.
4. Le Pékin
We should have worried that day on seeing the name of the restaurant missing a letter. At the edge of the closure, Beijing was a unique experience. Enter smell of mold, waiters with tense ears and expulsion almost kicked. We will remember that. To come back? I do not think so. The Fall of the Pekin.
5. Jacqueville
I do not remember the name of the place what I know is that there you have to be white to be respected and especially served. A dark experience that I still remember with pain since I did not eat anything of the day and that I was exhausted. In brief a bad memory of this city praised like the new Assinie that even the paradisiac decoration could not erase.
