L’hôtel Azalai Abidjan est situé en face de Cap Sud dans la commune de Marcory. Notre entrée en chambre se fait à 15 h. C’est l’heure d’arrivée indiquée sur le site internet de réservation de l’hôtel.

Nous avons opté pour une chambre standard à 100000 FCFA pour deux. Elle est de 90000 si on est seul. Ces prix n’étaient valables que ce week-end.
L’entrée en chambre se fait après un enregistrement de 15 mn à la réception. Le premier constat qu’on fait c’est que l’hôtel est chargé !

Les ascenseurs se présentent et sont tous pleins ce qui nous fait attendre au moins 20 mn avant de pouvoir en prendre un et atteindre notre étage.

Le deuxième constat c’est que, jusqu’au troisième étage, on n’a pas besoin de la carte de chambre mais au delà si. Donc si tu oublies la carte, tu dois revenir à la réception et en emprunter une autre à retourner automatiquement ensuite (question de sécurité).

Nous arrivons enfin à notre chambre située au 14 ieme étage de l’hôtel.
On a un seul mot en bouche, c’est waouh quoi.

A l’entrée il y a un couloir avec sur la gauche des armoires à battant, un coffre, un siège en bois sculpté. Sur la droite, la salle de bain avec une porte pour l’isoler de la chambre, porte qui protège les toilettes (ils sont cachés derrière quand la porte est ouverte), un lavabo avec du savon liquide, du savon solide pour les mains, de l’huile de coco, une crème de corps, plusieurs serviettes, un sèche cheveux, un miroir.
Ensuite, il y a la chambre avec un superbe bureau ! Offert par la maison une bouteille d’eau, des cafés, des thés. Au dessus du bureau, on trouve la télévision. En face, on a le lit qui est beau ! Et confortable. On adore ! Et enfin, on a une baie vitrée avec deux superbes fauteuils et une table.

Bref la chambre est top et vraiment respect !

Je décide de prendre une bonne douche et de voir si le spa a une disponibilité (je vous en parlerai dans un autre article). Ma sœur veut tester la salle de sport. Je lui offre donc une paire de basket achetée dans un magasin juste à côté. Moi, je prends ma douche et le savon liquide mousse vraiment, il sent bon sans excès. Je suis aux anges ! Je finis ma douche et je descend au troisième à la piscine où se trouve également le spa. Le spa est aussi chargé que l’ascenseuret je ne trouve pas de créneau. Je remonte donc en chambre me reposer un peu en attendant que ma sœur revienne du sport et qu’on puisse se rendre au restaurant.

Le lit est vraiment confortable, moi qui ai du mal à dormir hors de chez moi, je m’endors comme une masse. Ma sœur revient et semble satisfaite de la salle de sport ainsi que de sa paire de basket. Elle prends une douche pendant que je profite d’une bonne tasse de thé et de la connexion internet de l’hôtel qui ne plante pas. On se décide enfin à se rendre au restaurant le Banco de l’hôtel situé au premier.

Au menu on se laisse tenter par un virgin cocktail (crème de coco jus d’ananas corossol) à 4000 FCFA, un cocktail transparence(pomme fruit fruit de la passion sirop de pêche jus d’ananas) à 4000 FCFA, une salade de mangue au bœuf fumé à 5500 FCFA, un poulet braisé à 10000 FCFA et un pavé de capitaine sauce passion à 12000 FCFA.
Les plats sont d’un excellent rapport qualité prix. Il en est de même pour les cocktails. La salade est savoureuse malgré son aspect pas très esthétique, les cocktails sont extras et je n’hésiterai pas à revenir la bas à leur bar pour en tester d’autres. Ma sœur mange avec appétit son poulet braisé (c’est bon signe !) mon pavé de capitaine se marie à merveille à la sauce passion (c’est inédit pour moi). On passe un bon moment.

Repues, retour à la chambre où on se cale devant la télévision pour digérer un peu avant de se rendre à la piscine. La première insatisfaction. La télévision se déprogramme pour un oui ou un nom et change constamment de chaînes seule. On en vient à appeler un technicien qui n’arrive pas à régler le problème puisque dès son départ ça reprend de plus belle. À bout, on décide de ne plus s’emmerder et on soulève nos affaires pour la piscine.

Le soir c’est le calme plat. À part un couple qui mange sur les transats, il n’y a personne. C’est l’idéal. Ma sœur et moi on plonge dans le petit bassin (on ne sait pas nager oh) et on s’amuse comme des folles presqu’une heure.

Une pluie vient interrompre ce beau moment où la ville à nos pieds et le corps immergé dans l’eau son se prend pour les reines d’une monde qui nous appartient.

Retour en chambre cette fois-ci pour dormir. Le sommeil profond est interrompue par des bruits venant de l’extérieur. Peureuses que nous sommes, aucune de nous n’ose tirer les rideaux. Moi je me rendors vite. Ma sœur (plus peureuse que moi) passera une nuit blanche.

Le matin, je dois vite m’apprêter car j’ai rendez vous au spa. Je dois aussi ranger les affaires car la nuitée se termine à midi. Pendant le rangement deuxième mauvaise impression. Deux cafards se promènent librement sur le plateau café avant de disparaître derrière les armoires. Si il y a une chose que je déteste, c’est bien les cafards et cela ne me rassure pas vraiment mais bon étant que le départ je ne vais pas faire de scandale.

Je fais mes sacs, prends ma douche et patiente pour le petit déjeuner. Et là, l’ultime mauvaise impression, déjà des erreurs sur la commande, du temps beaucoup de temps pour nous livrer ce qu’on avait demandé et enfin 70 pour-cent de la nourriture qui ne passe pas côté goût bref on est déçue. Par chance ils nous ont ajoutés des trucs en bonus donc à on pas trop perdu au change mais quand on ne maîtrise pas la cuisson de farine de maïs ou de soja on ne se lance pas dedans.

Je fini et je descend au spaen donnant rendez vous à ma sœur à la piscine après dépôt de la clé à la réception pour ne pas nous faire facturer une nuit supplémentaire.
On se retrouve aux environs de 12h30 à la piscine et on se prend quelque cocktails avant de quitter l’hôtel.

Hello everybody ! Today, I will tell you about our stay (my sister was there) at Azalai Hotel Abidjan. Get ready to live one night in Azalaï Hotel Abidjan with us offline!

One night in Azalaï hotel Abidjan

Hotel Azalai Abidjan is located opposite Cap Sud in the commune of Marcory. Our entry into the room is at 3 pm. This is the check-in time indicated on the hotel booking website.

We opted for a standard room at 100,000 FCFA for two. It is 90000 if you are alone. These prices were only valid this weekend.
The entry into the room is done after a 15 mn recording at the reception. The first observation we made is that the hotel is responsible!

The elevators come and are all full which makes us wait at least 20 mn before we can take one and reach our floor.

The second thing is that, up to the third floor, you do not need the room card but beyond that. So if you forget the card, you have to go back to the reception and borrow another one to return automatically then (security question).

We finally arrive at our room located on the 14th floor of the hotel.
It was a word in the mouth, is WOW what.

At the entrance there is a corridor with on the left casement cabinets, a chest, a carved wooden seat. On the right, the bathroom with a door to isolate the room, door that protects the toilet (they are hidden behind when the door is open), a sink with liquid soap, soap for the hands, coconut oil, a body cream, several towels, a hair dryer, a mirror.
Then there is the room with a great desk! Offered by the house a bottle of water, coffees, teas. Above the desk, there is television. In front, we have the bed that is beautiful! And comfortable. We love ! And finally, we have a bay window with two beautiful chairs and a table.

In short the room is top and really respect!

I decide to take a good shower and see if the spa has availability (I’ll tell you about it in another article). My sister wants to test the gym. So I offer her a pair of basket bought in a store next door. Me, I take my shower and the liquid soap really foam, it feels good without excess. I’m so happy ! I finish my shower and I go down to the third pool where the spa is also located. The spa is as busy as the lift and I can not find a niche. So I go back to the room to rest a little while waiting for my sister to come back from sport and we can go to the restaurant.

The bed is really comfortable, I who have trouble sleeping outside my home, I fall asleep as a mass. My sister comes back and seems satisfied with the gym and her basket pair. She takes a shower while I enjoy a good cup of tea and the internet connection of the hotel that does not crash. We finally decided to go to the restaurant Banco of the hotel located at the first.

On the menu it is tempted by a virgin cocktail (cream of coconut pineapple juice soursop) 4000 FCFA a cocktail transparency (apple fruit fruit of the pineapple juice peach syrup passion) 4000 FCFA mango salad with smoked beef at 5500 FCFA, a chicken braised at 10000 FCFA and a captain’s paddle sauce passion at 12000 FCFA.
The dishes are excellent value for money. It’s the same for cocktails. The salad is tasty despite its appearance not very aesthetic, the cocktails are brilliant and I would not hesitate to come back down to their bar to test others. My sister eats with appetite her braised chicken (it’s a good sign!) My captain’s pad marries wonderfully with passion sauce (it’s new to me). We have a good time.

Satiated, return to the room where we hold in front of the TV to digest a bit before going to the pool. The first dissatisfaction. Television deprecates for a yes or no and constantly changes channels alone. You get to call a technician is unable to solve the problem as soon as he left it starts over again. At the end, we decided not to piss off and raises our stuff for the pool.

In the evening it is calm. Apart from a couple eating on the chairs, there is no one. This is the ideal. My sister and I dive into the small pool (we can not swim oh) and we have fun like crazy for almost an hour.

A rain interrupts that beautiful moment when the city below and the body immersed in water takes us to the queens of a world that belongs to us.

Two cockroaches roam freely on the coffee tray before disappearing behind cabinets. If there is one thing I hate, it’s cockroaches and it does not really reassure me but good considering the start I’m not going to scandal.

I make my bags, take my shower and wait for breakfast. And here, the ultimate bad impression, already errors on the order, time a lot of time to deliver what we had asked and finally 70 percent of the food that does not pass the taste short we are disappointed. Luckily they added bonus stuff to us so we did not lose too much change but when we do not control the cooking of cornmeal or soybean we do not go into it.

I finished and I down to the spa giving appointment to my sister in the pool after filing of the key at reception for not charging us an extra night.
We meet around 12:30 at the pool and we get some cocktails before leaving the hotel.
