Note : 2/5
Note : 5/5
Note : 5/5
Avis final
Note : 4/5
Hello everyone, return to the reviews on the blog (admit you missed it) with Montparnasse. Montparnasse: the end of myth just below!
Montparnasse: the end of the myth
My sister and I made the leap there a little while entering the Montparnasse restaurant located on Mercedes Street.
The famous restaurant has rumors as crazy as each other but the brake was for me the cost of meals that was apparently staggering. So we enter this day with apprehensions. The welcome is warm and immediately puts us at ease. We are offered to choose either the Italian side or the French side. We opt for French.
The restaurant looks like a bistro with its wooden furniture and dark colors.
We are offered two welcome cocktails and we take the opportunity to take our order. My sister opted for the potato grilled grouper steam 13500 FCFA me calf’s liver with parsley balsamic sauce mash with a fork to 15,500 FCFA. We take the opportunity to ask our desserts to know a crème brûlée at 4500 FCFA for her and a feuillantine chocolate raspberry sauce at 5500 FCFA for me.
for her
the presentation of the grilled grouper is minimalist and frankly it blocks a little side appetite. Apparently you can not choose other accompaniment except maybe extra.
The grouper has a taste of smoked, the seasoning does not go short, for such a beautiful name, the taste does not follow at all.
As for the crème brûlée, everything is fine. No failure and that’s good. For me
The veal liver is a delight. Not as much as the one I eat at the Rally, but the basalt sauce gives this veal liver another dimension than the mashed potato, excellent by the way, accompanies perfectly.
The dessert is difficult to identify at first but the first layer of feuillantine past is a delight! between dark chocolate from feuillantines, chocolate mousse or raspberry sauce, we have a variety of flavors that blend well with each other.A high budget (40,000 FCFA without drinks) but not as much as the rumor said it for a mixed experience. The service is just perfect. Attentive wish without excess despite the arrogant air of the servers (but we begin to get used to).
The menu: Montparnasse has two spaces and therefore two Italian and French menus. It offers classics of French cuisine reworked. I was satisfied with my choices without being transcended (for the price I should have been). My sister was disappointed by her main course.
Rating: 2/5
The service: For a first experience it was excellent. Nothing to say. The owners are more than friendly.
Rating: 5/5
Hygiene: Hygiene is excellent both in the room and in the bathroom.
Rating: 5/5
Final notice
First experience at Montparnasse a little mixed. A high budget, average food is what I remember.
Rating: 4/5
