Drink Trip épisode 18 / Food Trip épisode 49 : SALAD AND SUN OR SUN IN PLATES
Avec ma clique, et un ami blogueur, je décide de repartir à la découverte de cet endroit que j’ai beaucoup appréciée à l’époque.
La serveuse nous accueille avec le sourire et nous donne les cartes. Le menu est riche (très). On a vraiment le choix et c’est intéressant de ne pas se sentir limité. En boisson, je commande un cocktail à base de baobab, mes sœurs prennent chacune un jus d’orange et mon ami un Mojito. En entrée, je prends des ailerons de poulets, Nadiaska prend elle des boulettes croustillantes de poulet à la sauce aigre-douce, mon ami ne prend pas d’entrée et notre dernière prend également des ailerons de poulet. En plat de résistance, Nadiaska, mon ami et moi prenons des sandwichs qui sont dans l’ordre : les sub indian, parmigiana et philly cheese. Notre dernière Tatouska prend elle des pancakes. Pour finir Tatouska prend une crème brulée, mon ami des œufs brouillés et moi, un smoothie mangue. Nadisaka en reste là.
Commençons par les boissons.
Passons maintenant aux entrées.
Côté plat de résistance, les choses se passent mieux.
Le sub parmigiana (3500 FCFA) est lui composé de poulet pané, de parmesan, de mozzarella, et de sauce marinara. Comme son nom l’indique, ce sub a des tendances italiennes. La sauce marinara qui enrobe les ingrédients ne prête pas à confusion. Cette sauce salée et un peu sucré sur des morceaux de poulets panés et des fromages fondus faits de ce sub, une tuerie. Je ferme les yeux à la première bouchée subjuguée par un mariage aussi parfait. Je ne vous demande pas, je vous ordonne de le commander si vous passez par ce chaleureux restaurant (lol).
La dernière étape de notre food trip ce sont les desserts. Le pancake doit normalement se trouver là, mais bon lol.
En conclusion pour cette soirée entre famille et ami dans les éclats de rire et les saveurs enchanteresses, Salads et Sun ne m’a pas déçu du tout et je vous conseille vivement cet endroit discret, intimiste qui laisse en bouche des saveurs qui marquent.
Pour qui ? Les hommes d’affaires dans le cadre d’un rendez-vous, les couples, les amis (comme nous), la famille, les amateurs de bonne chère.
Quand ? Entre midi et deux, en soirée, les week-ends (le restaurant abrite des soirées Jazz à ne rater sous aucun prétexte)

Salad and Sun is located in the town of Plateau on Trade Street on aligning Novotel. I know the restaurant through Hellofood and I have already eaten once a time when I was not yet a blogger. With my clique, and a blogger friend, I decided to start to discover this place that I really appreciated at the time. We meet four on a table not far from the entrance. The decor is beautiful enough already between African art and modernism with cheerful colors. The place is divided into two rooms, a ground floor and a loft style floor where the bar is located. The waitress greets us with a smile and gives us the cards. The menu is rich (very). We really have a choice and it is interesting to not feel limited. In drink, I order a cocktail of baobab, the sisters each takes an orange juice and my friend a Mojito. As a starter, I take chicken wings, it takes Nadiaska crispy dumplings chicken, sweet and sour sauce, my friend takes no input and also taking our last chicken wings. As a main course, Nadiaska, my friend and I take sandwiches that are in order: the Indian sub, and Philly cheese parmigiana. Our last Tatouska takes her pancakes. Finally Tatouska takes a creme brulee, my friend and I scrambled eggs, a mango smoothie. Nadiaska remains there. Let’s start with drinks. The orange juice is good, not bitter at all, with sugar at the right dose. My sisters are not complaining. The cocktail of baobab, a pink color (I can not remember all the ingredients) is at the first sip, subject to rejection reflex, and then query to finally settle in an awkward habit. I do not know what to think, but it ends (not easily) saw that I finished. What I remember is mainly a sour aftertaste (yes)
Mojito made by my friend tends more towards lemonade with mint than anything else. We do not find the glossy side of Mojitos (ton of crushed ice) and I know it’s a little disorienting, but it also lets drink and much better than mine. But for those who have the habit of drinking Mojitos in town, this one will surprise you. Now for the entries. Crispy chicken meatballs are delicious, especially on crusty side that is felt. The combination of crispy surface on the inside flux is a success. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanies fits them like a glove. My sister loves and relishes. Chicken fins are different from what is commonly found, and different from those I had eaten my first visit. I do not know what to think. Terms such as lack of chairs, empty flat or disorientation pass to mind. God, thank you, despite these negative points, the little flesh is tender. It does not erase the bad taste by cons. Side dish, things are better. The sub Indian made chicken salad, mozzarella, tomato and tikka sauce are extra. The bread is soft at will and at first bite one is transported by exotic sauce flavors that blend perfectly with the pieces of chicken breast, vegetables. Cheese fare from an intruder, we melt in the mouth and gives this sauce a balance. In short, it is a sub that does not lack charm. The parmigiana sub is it composed of breaded chicken, Parmesan, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. As the name suggests, this sub has Italian trends. The marinara sauce that coats the ingredients do not cause confusion. This salty and slightly sweet sauce with pieces of breaded chicken and melted cheese made from this sub, a killer. I close my eyes at first bite subjugated by marriage also perfect. I do not ask you, I order you to order if you go through this friendly restaurant (lol). The sub Philly cheese sub for me is the pure and hard man! Beef tenderloin, onion, bell pepper, mushroom and cheese are the components. Here there is no sauce, but there is a perfect combination of components that, when combined, give a magical result. Imagine in your mouth tender, juicy beef tenderloin, cheese softness, elasticity of mushrooms and crispy onions and peppers. All in one bite humm is sexy (OK! It is recovering). Let’s finish the entrees pancake with honey. Tenderness, comfortable feeling, feeling of becoming a baby, uncontrolled joy. Here is my description of the pancake. The last leg of our trip is food desserts. The pancake should normally be there, but good lol. The creme brulee. With a perfectly soaring surface a crust that breaks to reveal just cooked cream this cream is by far the best I consume. It dethrones that of Kallisté (sorry) Hands up. Tatouska hesitant at first, does not regret his choice. The scrambled eggs are moaning happiness at first bite. There, I will say that the cook hand frankly. This is the kind of food you eat when you have a broken heart and that erases our memory forever. My friend is in heaven, I hold me to knock him out to steal his plate. Finally mango smoothie. If you want a real smoothie, go to Salad and Sun. It is there that you will find a smoothie that meets the definition of smoothie too often confused with a thin juice (see fluid). A real one with this mango taste that feels and this density that almost fills the belly. A success ? Yes !
In conclusion to this evening with family and friends in the laughter and the enchanting flavors, Salad and Sun did not disappoint me at all and I highly recommend this quiet place, intimate leaving in the mouth flavors that mark. For who ? Businessmen in the context of an appointment, couples, friends (like us), family, lovers of good food. When ?
