Mövenpick Hôtel est l’un des derniers hôtels à ouvrir ses portes sur les bords de la lagune Ébrié.

Situé sur la rue Gourgas au Plateau, l’établissement est magnifique. La décoration, l’agencement des espaces…vraiment, ils ont bossé.

C’est donc sans grande surprise que j’ai été bluffé par la chambre qui est juste magnifique avec ses murs teintés, son magnifique lit, son immense salle de bain et toutes ces armoires. Un gros coup de cœur !

Il y a même dans la salle de bain pour les malades un siège pour s’asseoir ! Merci !

Entre le coffre, le plateau avec deux bouteilles d’eau, du café, du thé, le petit frigo, le sèche cheveux, les sacs en pagne, les accessoires de salle de bain, ceux qui se sont occupés de ces petites touches pour séduire le client ont bien travaillé. Et toutes ces armoires !

Le lit est confortable ! Une literie haut de gamme ! On s’endort en quelque seconde et on adore ça.

La propreté est également au rendez-vous partout et franchement chapeau.

Le diner

Le room service qu’on pourrait qualifier d’inaccessible fait dégringoler toute cette joie d’un seul coup.

Injoignable, avec la réception qui ne s’occupe pas de mise en contact et demande d’insister, un long calvaire de 3 heures s’enclenche. Ils avaient pourtant dit 15 mn.

Si vous ne devenez pas fou en tentant de joindre tous les numéros en vain, vous jouez de votre intelligence et passez par le restaurant. La bas par chance ils peuvent passer la commission au room service. Ceux ci vont essayer de vous joindre pour avoir des précisions absurdes (vous voulez combien de boules de glaces ? Le menu à 6000 que j’ai demandé en fourni combien ? 2. Alors c’est ce que sera 2, ou encore quel garniture pour votre plat ? Le menu a précisé attieke et Alloco non ? Si ok) et surtout ils ne vont pas poser les questions essentielles comme nous n’avons pas d’Indian Tonic mais du sprite ca vous va ?

Entre cet appel et l’arrivée de la moitié de la commande 1h passe.

L’attieké arrive sans alloco, la glace n’est pas là, c’est maintenant qu’on me demande si on peut remplacer le tonic par du sprite.

Ensuite tout sourire, l’alloco, la glace et la boisson arrive. 1 h plus tard, rien, le poisson est terminé bref si on ne sort pas de la sûrement qu’on recevra le reste le lendemain et la facture le jour d’après.

Pour gagner du temps payer à la réception est préférable mais là encore pour une facture de 21500 on est facturé 25000. Sans explication aucune.

Si on ajoute à cela que tous les shows qui se déroulent en bas transpercent les murs, clairement dû à un soucis d’insonorisation,

dépité est un faible mot pour exprimer ce qu’on ressent.

Bon point : le chambre entière sans aucune exception, elle est parfaite de bout en bout

Mauvais point : Le room service, le service globalement, les installations téléphoniques, le manque de professionnalisme

Mövenpick Hotel is one of the latest hotels to open on the banks of the Ebrié Lagoon.

Located on Gourgas Street in Plateau, the establishment is magnificent. The decoration, the layout of the spaces… they really worked.

The room

It’s without much surprise that I was bluffed by the room which is just magnificent with its tinted walls, its magnificent bed, its immense bathroom and all these cupboards. A big hit!

There is even a seat in the bathroom for the sick! Thank you!

Between the chest, the tray with two bottles of water, coffee, tea, the small fridge, the hair dryer, the loincloth bags, the bathroom accessories, those who took care of these little touches to seduce the client did a great job. And all those wardrobes!

The bed is comfortable! Top of the range bedding! You fall asleep in a second and we love it.

The cleanliness is also there everywhere and frankly hats off to them.

The dinner

The room service, which could be described as inaccessible, brings down all this joy in one fell swoop.

Unreachable, with the reception not taking care of the contact and asking to insist, a long ordeal of 3 hours starts. They had said 15 minutes.

If you don’t go crazy trying to reach all the numbers in vain, you use your intelligence and go through the restaurant. There by chance they can pass the commission to the room service. They will try to call you to get some absurd details (how many scoops of ice cream do you want? The menu at 6000 that I asked for provides how many? 2. So is that what 2 will be, or what topping for your dish? The menu said attieke and Alloco right? Si ok) and above all they won’t ask the essential questions as we don’t have Indian Tonic but sprite is ok?

Between this call and the arrival of half of the order 1 hour passes.

The attieké arrives without alloco, the ice cream is not there, it is now that I am asked if we can replace the tonic by sprite.

Then all smiles, the alloco, the ice cream and the drink arrive. 1 hour later, nothing, the fish is finished, in short if we don’t get out of the restaurant we will receive the rest the next day and the bill the day after.

To save time, paying at the reception is preferable, but there again, for an invoice of 21500, we are charged 25000. Without any explanation.

If you add to that the fact that all the shows that take place downstairs pierce the walls, clearly due to a soundproofing problem,

Disappointed is a poor word for what we feel.

Good point : The whole room without any exception, it is perfect from start to finish

Bad point: The room service, the service overall, the telephone facilities, the lack of professionalism
